ATP Finals Trophy at Isola Bella: Event from November 7 to 10

From November 7 to 10, 2026, international tennis will make a stop on Lake Maggiore: Isola Bella will host the final stage of the Nitto ATP Finals Trophy Tour, featuring the trophy that symbolizes the tournament and that, just a few days later, will take centre stage at the Finals in Turin.

This is a particularly significant event for the entire Borromean Gulf, bringing one of the most prestigious events in world tennis to one of Lake Maggiore’s most iconic locations. For anyone planning an autumn visit to Stresa, it will also be an unusual opportunity to discover the area during a generally quieter time of year.

The Nitto ATP Finals Trophy Tour Stops at Isola Bella

Isola Bella will be the final destination of the Trophy Tour before the 2026 Nitto ATP Finals, scheduled to take place in Turin from November 15 to 22.

From November 7 to 10, the trophy will be displayed inside Palazzo Borromeo, giving tennis fans and visitors to Lake Maggiore the opportunity to see up close one of the symbols of the tournament that concludes the ATP Tour season. The presence of the trophy on the island also marks the first concrete initiative of the new collaboration between Kaleon, the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation and the Nitto ATP Finals.

The agreement will run for five years and will see Kaleon take on the role of Cultural Heritage Destination Experiences Partner of the FITP, with the aim of connecting the world of top-level tennis with Italy’s historical, cultural and scenic heritage.

Isola Bella Exceptionally Open Until November 22

The Trophy Tour will also bring an important new opportunity for anyone wishing to visit the Borromean Islands in autumn.

As part of the collaboration with the Nitto ATP Finals, Isola Bella will exceptionally extend its opening season until November 22, 2026. Palazzo Borromeo and its gardens will remain accessible, along with the other activities available on the island.

This represents a significant extension of the traditional tourist season and a particularly interesting opportunity for those who normally associate a visit to the Borromean Islands only with spring and summer.

It will therefore also be possible to reach the island in November and combine a visit with this special event dedicated to international tennis.

An Important Event for Stresa and Lake Maggiore Too

The choice of Isola Bella naturally involves much more than the island itself. Stresa is one of the main gateways to the Borromean Islands and will inevitably be involved in welcoming visitors attracted by the Trophy Tour.

The event therefore provides an opportunity to discover Lake Maggiore at a very different time of year compared with the summer months: fewer crowds, autumn colours and a generally more relaxed pace.

The value of the initiative lies precisely in the opportunity to combine an international sporting event with the discovery of the local area. Kaleon will also be present at the Nitto ATP Finals Fan Village in Turin with a project dedicated to promoting the cultural and scenic heritage of the Piedmont side of Lake Maggiore.

The aim is therefore also to introduce the area to an international audience that may discover Stresa and the Borromean Gulf precisely through tennis.

What to Do in Stresa During the Trophy Tour

Anyone travelling to Lake Maggiore to see the trophy can easily turn the event into a weekend in Stresa.

After visiting Isola Bella, you can spend a few hours exploring the historic centre, stroll along the lakefront or stop at one of the city’s restaurants. November offers the chance to experience Stresa differently from the high season, with a more peaceful atmosphere and without the concentration of visitors typical of the summer months.

It is therefore worth seeing the event not simply as a visit to the trophy, but as an opportunity to spend a day or a weekend on Lake Maggiore.

On the Loving Stresa website, you can also check the events in Stresa and on Lake Maggiore to see whether any other events are scheduled for the same dates and can be combined with your visit.

An Opportunity to Experience Stresa in Autumn Too

The arrival of the Nitto ATP Finals trophy at Isola Bella is also particularly interesting because it takes place during a period normally considered low season.

Extending the island’s opening until November 22 is a step towards greater seasonal diversification of tourism on Lake Maggiore, an issue also highlighted by local administrations. The Mayor of Baveno, Alessandro Monti, described the initiative as an opportunity to genuinely extend the tourist season and involve accommodation facilities, services and local operators.

For Stresa, this means having another reason to welcome visitors in November and demonstrate that Lake Maggiore can be enjoyed well beyond the traditional spring and summer season.
