How the hang-gliding
flight works
The hang-gliding flight takes place as a tandem flight with an instructor, so it is also suitable for anyone trying it for the first time.
After booking, you meet the staff in Laveno and are accompanied to the take-off point, usually located at altitude between Monte Nudo and Poggio Sant’Elsa. Here, a short briefing explains the different stages of the flight.
Take-off is simple and gradual: after just a few steps, the hang glider lifts into the air, using the natural air currents. Once in flight, you glide gently above Lake Maggiore, enjoying a smooth and surprisingly stable experience.
During the flight, if conditions allow, you may also try piloting the hang glider for a few minutes, always under the instructor’s supervision.
