Traditional Bonfire and Mulled Wine Distribution – Stresa

On Sunday, 7 December 2025, for the celebration of Saint Ambrose, patron saint of Stresa, one of the community’s most cherished events returns: the traditional bonfire on the lakeside, accompanied by the distribution of hot mulled wine.
The event will begin at 5:00 PM on the lakeside promenade of Stresa, in front of Hotel Astoria, one of the town’s most panoramic viewpoints.

The large bonfire, lit at dusk, creates a unique atmosphere of light, warmth and reflections on the waters of Lake Maggiore. It is a highly anticipated moment for both residents and visitors — an opportunity to experience an ancient tradition in a scenic setting, perfect also for photographs and for enjoying the first hints of the Christmas atmosphere.
The mulled wine, prepared according to the traditional recipe, will help warm the evening and make the experience even more enjoyable.
