Lago Maggiore Half Marathon - 18th Edition
On Sunday, March 8, 2026, one of the most anticipated sporting events on Lake Maggiore returns: the 18th Lago Maggiore Half Marathon, an international race that combines sport, nature, and extraordinary landscapes. The event, organized by Sport PRO-MOTION A.S.D. and recognized with the prestigious FIDAL Bronze Label, attracts runners every year from across Italy and abroad.
The race takes place along one of the most spectacular routes in the country, starting from the Stresa lakeside promenade and finishing in Verbania Pallanza, offering unique views of the Borromean Gulf, the mountains, and the shores of Lake Maggiore.
Races included: Half Marathon and 10 km
The event includes two distances, both available in competitive and non-competitive formats:
- Half Marathon (21.097 km): Starting from the Stresa lakeside promenade and finishing in Verbania Pallanza, along a fast and scenic route considered one of the most beautiful in Italy.
- 10 km: Starting from Fondotoce and finishing in Verbania, sharing the same finish line as the half marathon participants.
The route is completely paved and flat, making it ideal both for runners aiming to improve their personal best and for those who want to enjoy a sporting experience surrounded by nature.
