Discover Stresa
On Sunday, October 4, 2026, autumn arrives in Levo with the Castagnata Country, a day organised by the Associazione Pro Levo featuring seasonal flavours, chestnuts and live music.
The event begins at 12:30 pm with lunch featuring polenta and local cuisine specialties, followed in the afternoon by the unmissable steaming hot chestnuts. Music by Los Fabbros will accompany the day, creating a country-style celebration in the heart of this hamlet of Stresa.
The Castagnata Country will begin at 12:30 pm, when guests can sit down and enjoy polenta accompanied by specialties prepared especially for the occasion.
A lunch designed to bring people together and enjoy an autumn Sunday in Levo, before making way for the other great highlight of the day: chestnuts.
Takeaway can also be booked by contacting the organisers in advance.
At 3:00 pm, the chestnut festival itself will begin, with steaming hot chestnuts to enjoy throughout the afternoon.
Chestnuts are one of the foods most closely associated with the arrival of autumn and here they become the starting point for a festive day combining food, music and conviviality.
In case of bad weather, the chestnut festival will be postponed to Sunday, October 11.
The country atmosphere will also make this event particularly special. Lunch and the rest of the day will be accompanied by music from Los Fabbros.
The band will help transform the traditional chestnut festival into a true country celebration in Levo, to be enjoyed with music, good food and autumn flavours.
Reservations are recommended for lunch, including for those choosing the takeaway service.
