Castagnata Alpina 2026 in Stresa: Chestnuts, Polenta and Specialties

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, Stresa’s lakefront will host the Castagnata Alpina, organised by the Gruppo Alpini di Stresa – Sezione Intra with the patronage of the Municipality of Stresa.

Starting at 10:00 am, Piazzale Imbarcadero will host a day dedicated to autumn flavours, with roasted chestnuts for everyone, grilled specialties and, from lunchtime, polenta with cotechino and lentils.

Chestnuts and Alpini Specialties

The Castagnata Alpina will begin at 10:00 am with grilled sausages, assorted sandwiches and drinks. And of course, the stars of the day will not be missing: chestnuts, roasted over the fire and served throughout the event.

From 12:00 pm, visitors will also be able to enjoy polenta with cotechino and lentils, available while supplies last.

A simple and convivial autumn event to enjoy in the centre of Stresa, directly on the lakefront.

In Case of Bad Weather

The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 4. In case of bad weather, the Castagnata Alpina will be postponed to Sunday, October 11, 2026.
